| Where do I begin? For starters, I have graduated from college. Although I wasn't really expecting graduation to be extremely meaningfull or heart warming, it actually kind of was which was a nice suprise. Spending one final college weekend on campus was also memorable. I spent the first month home looking for a somewhat average job since I have done some crazy jobs in the past and decided to just stick to something normal. That didn't last long. I've been working as a whitewater river guide which sounds hilarious, but it's a really awesome summer job. My brother claims my job could equal death, ha, but the excitement, sun, and fun outweigh the possible threat to my life. The transition to living at home has been interesting. So far so good. The next step is finding a place to live in DC. That's the hard part. I'm rather nervous about the whole deal, but I'll find something. Despite my parents suggestion that I pitch a tent in the subway and play the guitar and sing for money, haha, I think I'll bet my odds and look for an apartment. It's always interesting the twists life takes. I never thought I'd spend so much time in a wet suit. Then again, I never thought I'd be living in DC either. I went to a Murder by Death show in Philly the other week. That was amazing. They never cease to completely impress me. The celloist rocks by the way. Well, I've also been apartment/cat sitting for the past week so I better go and check on them. I hope everyone is having a warm summer so far and you get to catch at least one lightening bug. That's always fun. Bye for now.

| Playing at the community arts center was so much fun. It's such a huge old theatre. It was so great to have so many familiar faces there. My freinds are wonderful. Mae came to our school Sat. with Yellowcard. I'm not a huge yellowcard fan but I do enjoy the occasional Mae. I can't believe next fri. is the last day of class. ahh. This year went ridiculously fast. Here's a pic from fri. night. That was fun.

| ahh, open mic night tonight!! I'm nervous but definately excited!! This place is so huge. ha. I still can't believe I'm playing there. wacky wacky world. Oh and by the way, I will most likely be living in Washington DC next year. I got accepted into the doctoral program at the school I interviewed with a few weeks ago. Ha, that seems crazy too. Dr. Kate. I'm always amazed at how much can happen in such a short time frame. It's wild. | | |

| This week has been such a wirlwind I'm not even sure today's friday. It started with the eisley show which was amazing. It was definatley a fun and memorable trip. Not only did we run into Boyd by accidently going in the main entrance an hour before the doors were even supposed to open, but we almost talked to Chauntelle before we chickened out, ha, and I stood next to Sherri for an entire set. Granted I was too much of a chicken to actually talk to them, haha, but it was great none the less. I automatically turn into my shy 11 year-old self whenever I meet people in bands that I admire. It's rather hilarious. After going back to Jason's house to sleep and eat, we headed back for college. I started to get sick which was not fun, but that wasn't the worst of it. That night I heard the news that an ex-boyfriend's mom died. I was extremely close to this family and am still friends with Tim. It was rough. She always treated me like her own daughter and I just couldn't believe she was gone. Death is never easy. At least for me it isn't. So, the funeral was yesterday and my parents went with me and so did my friends Jason and Josh. It was a really nice funeral, sad, but nice. I was glad I was able to be there for Tim. Then last night my body kind of rebelled and I got really sick...and now I sound like a croacking alien. It hasn't been the easiest week and perhaps I'll write some more later. dun..dun.dun..... | | |
